ABOUT US

Kenilworth Women formed in 2015, with their first training session consisting of a few players in a park! Since then, they have gone from strength to strength. They first entered into the league in 2016, achieved three promotions in four seasons to gain entry into Championship North 1, and are now the highest-placed team in Warwickshire. One of their most memorable seasons was in 2017/18, where not only did they achieve promotion, they also reached the final of the Intermediate Cup! Their dramatic quarter-final and semi-final home wins to Barnsley and Bury Foxes respectively will live long in the memory of the crowds at Glasshouse Lane.

As well as wanting to achieve league success, Kenilworth are also passionate about growing the women’s game. They now have a development team and an U15’s girls’ team, which is growing in number every week. They have an extensive coaching set-up, lead by head coach Richard ‘RB’ Bennett, including Becci Lewis, Stephen Haynes, Glynn Owen and Tony Timms, as well as many guest coaches. Kenilworth also have a strong ‘one club’ mentality, and regularly have joint training sessions with the men and colts teams.

With their brand new ground expected to be ready in a year, there has never been a better time to join Kenilworth. So whether you’re an experienced player who wants to join a successful, competitive team or have never picked up a rugby ball and want to try something new, Kenilworth is the team for you!
